The Road to You

Recently I disappointed my daughter by getting her a book she has been anxiously awaiting, but not slowing down long enough to see I got it in Spanish. *Not a representation of bigger let downs. However, her face said it was a pretty big let down.* I let my kids down probably on a daily basis. I try to give myself grace and I certainly apologize when apologies are in order. And there are other times I just admit “I can’t keep up with everything.” I hope they see I do my best, but no one’s best is ever enough for everyone. No one’s best is without flaw or mistake. Do know that our best is all that is asked of us. God’s grace fills all the gaps. God comforts us when others let us down. God forgives us when we are the ones letting someone down.
